| | So, today, I was riding back from a visit to athens with jess in this crappy weather. We go to pass a double-trailer semi truck, but as we pull ahead of it the car hits a patch of slush on the road. The car begins to slide in the left lane and ends up crossing in front of the semi and hits the barrier on the side of the road, almost at a 90 degree angle. You think that's it, but a split second later and BAM the semi truck clips the back of the car, spinning us 90 degrees to end up facing the wrong way down the highway and two semi truck trailers headed straight for us. Some more loud and metal crashing things go down, most of which happen too fast and with an airbag in my face, and we end up resting up against the metal barrier, the semi truck 100 yards down the road with a tipped-over trailer.
Yeah, we got into a car accident, and it was intense. No one was hurt, but I've never been hit by that much force in my life. It feels about the same as it looks on the car commercials where the people are having fun in a car and get blindsided. All I can say is thank god there are seatbelts; I didn't even hit the airbag with my face because it held me nice and tight. you can see pictures here:
